WCPLF STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The WCPLF convenes annually among the Churches of Christ in the, primarily in West Coast area of the USA. The WCPLF does not seek to impose any religious legislation for the purpose of church or congregational policy generation within the churches of Christ. This convocation exists merely for the sole purpose of editfication, exhortation and unification of scriptural principles set forth by
New Testament doctrine and practices.
It is our affirmed belief that the WCPLF can righteously fulfill its purpose in the strengthening of those who thereby attend this event through the proclamation of the Gospel, which is the power of God to save (Rom. 1:16). It is also our affirmed belief that we can and should be able assemble together, collectively in one accord, as brethren and stewards of faith, in order to provide a venue of learning and enlightenment to those who, perhaps, would not have access to, or been able to participate in such an endeavor of this magnitude and importance. It is an opportunity for Bretheren to come together, in unity, while learning the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Over 30 scriptural lectures designed to enhance our knowledge and understanding of how we grow in our individual walks while learning how Leadership looks in patterning our lives after our great and loving Savior, Jesus Christ.
WCPLF Workshops designed for Personal and Congregational Growth.
Inserted and instituted to provide access to workshop speakers, as to spark dialog and learning designed to promote conversation and stimulate positive dialogue for the enhancement and growth of God's kingdom.
Ladies Day Program and 2025 WCPLF Banquet.
A positive event for our Ladies to both learn from and fellowship with oneanother. The 2025 WCPLF Banquet is always an awesome way for the Forum to conclude with a wonderful night of great food and fellowship.
WHAT IS THE WCPLF?
THE ORGANIZATION OF THE WEAST COAST PREACHERS AND LEADERS FORUM
The WCPLF Forum does not operate under any religious organization aside from the local congregations that sponsor it. There are neither presidents, secretaries, nor any other offices, as such. There is no presiding legislative law for the congregations to be bound to. The WCPLF is not a delegated convention for that purpose, or any purpose that conflicts with the teaching s of the scripture. The Preachers’ Forum does not meet to select any official over the church or to ouster anyone.
THE HISTORY OF THE WCPLF
In 1964, the Uptown Church of Christ hosted the first WCPLF. The late Bro. “Big Jim” Butler formulated and presented the idea to preachers in the Greater Bay Area. They agreed that a format to discuss both sides of controversial issues that divided the church was needed.
It was understood that the Bible, the Word of God, was the only standard to be accepted as proof of God’s intent on any subject. Therefore, the WCPLF became a reality. The WCPLF has grown from the Bay Area to the majority of the West Coast states, such as, California, , Oregon, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Nevada, and other states, as well. From this beginning, preachers from various locations have enjoyed great fellowship while discussing many different topics and issues.
